On November 01, 2026 the Laurens County Hall of Heroes held its third joint induction ceremony for Veterans and First Responders. We were honored and proud to induct 10 well deserving Veterans and 10 well deserving First Responders. We had a nice crowd of inductees, family and friends, along with State and County Dignitaries. Our guest military speaker was Colonel Fowler, a senior leader in the South Carolina National Guard. Colonel Folwler is the commanding officer of the teaching and education center on the back side of Fort Jackson

First Sergeant Josh Cannon of the South Carolina Highway Patrol with an insightful speech on the suicide prevention from a very personal point of view. Mr. Cannon lost this brother to suicide.
